Why This Works

What Partnership Means
In print: Your castle receives a 1-2 page feature in our annual magazine, professionally written and photographed. The magazine is distributed at heritage sites across Europe and sold to cultural tourists as a collector’s edition.
Online: A detailed article on our website with photo gallery, optimized so tourists find you when planning trips to your region. Featured in our monthly newsletter to subscribers actively seeking castle discoveries.
In your gift shop: Purchase magazines at cost (€5 each) to resell at €19.95. Your visitors get a beautiful keepsake featuring your castle; you generate revenue and extend your marketing reach.

Our inaugural 2027 edition will feature approximately 20-25 castles, including:

When readers page through the magazine, they’ll see one celebration of European castle heritage, where a baroque palace in Poland sits naturally alongside Schönbrunn, where a Wallonian château receives the same treatment as Versailles.
That’s the point. Association creates legitimacy. Your castle belongs in this conversation.
What we need from you
Partnership is collaborative, not complicated:
- Access for photography—we visit and shoot, or you provide high-resolution images
- A compelling story about your site’s history, highlights, and what makes it special
- Basic visitor information: hours, admission, directions, website, best seasons to visit
- More background stories: interesting historical details, restoration projects, notable visitors, garden features
We handle everything else: writing, editing, photography, layout, production, distribution, promotion.

Our Foundation
This project is led by mr. Sander Louis, who founded Kastelen & Tuinen Magazine in the Netherlands in 2020. Working with Dutch castle museums and the national tourism organization Visit Holland, that magazine successfully promoted castle heritage through a collaborative model combining quality storytelling, beautiful photography, and practical visitor information.
The European edition expands this proven approach across the continent, with particular focus on regions where exceptional castles remain underappreciated by international tourists.
Being realistic
We’re not claiming massive existing reach. This is a new platform built with founding partners who see long-term value in collective promotion of European castle heritage.
Our first edition will reach an estimated 5.000-15.000 readers through partner distribution, gift shop sales, and direct subscriptions. Year two will grow through proven success. Year three will expand further. We’re building something sustainable, not promising overnight transformation.
What we do promise: editorial integrity, production quality, honest partnership, and genuine effort to drive visitors to every castle we feature.
