Bled Castle

Predjama Castle
There is no other castle in Europe quite like Predjama. Built directly into the mouth of a cave in a towering limestone cliff, it looks less like something humans constructed and more like something that grew there. The 12th-century fortress was once the stronghold of Erazem of Predjama, a rebellious knight who defied the Habsburg Empire from his near-impregnable position, supplied via secret tunnels through the rock. He held out for over a year before being betrayed. The tunnels are still there. So is the sense that this place operates by its own rules.
Ljubljana Castle
Ljubljana Castle has watched over the Slovenian capital for nearly a thousand years, from its first fortifications in the 11th century through its Renaissance reshaping in the 16th and 17th. Today it functions as the city’s cultural heart, hosting concerts, exhibitions and a café or two. Its panoramic tower offers the best views across the rooftops of Ljubljana and into the countryside beyond. Brdo Castle

Socerb Castle
On a limestone ridge near Slovenia’s Adriatic coast, Socerb occupies a position that has been strategically valuable for millennia.
